Why The Healing Tree?

Customers often ask me why the shop is called The Healing Tree.

Trees resonate deeply with me; there is something amazing about them: their size, the shelter they provide, the food they produce, the healing they provide and they are the lungs of our planet! Without trees we cannot exist!

Having personally planted 2000 olive trees and watched them grow has deepened my love of trees. Since the beginning of time trees have been associated with our spiritual growth and are a symbol of wisdom.

A healing tree, for me, is a tree that has deep roots, providing a strong foundation. The roots obtain nutrients that allow the tree to grow. The branches help the tree to reach towards the heavens. If the roots are not deep enough or the branches are too weak the tree would not be healthy.

The Healing Tree helps us to heal by providing us with a symbol for what it is we are trying to achieve. It also helps to reconnect us to our world, to nature and to our own personal healing.

Our skin care products are free from parabens, petro-chemicals, sodium lauryl sulphate, EDTA, propyl glycol and aluminium. They have not been tested on animals.
